There used to be a picture of a wedding cake with red ribbon on the Honey Bear Bakery website. I liked the look of it, but it was time to make my own. I’m happy someone ordered one.
There’s something very romantic about red, white, and scroll work. Here’s the original cake that inspired this bride to come to us.
I’m not sure when this cake was made because it wasn’t made by me, but I always felt the ribbon color was a little too dark for a modern wedding, and the bow had potential to be much fluffier and fuller. I like both cakes, all things considered, but it’s nice to be able to put your own spin on a classic look.
Here’s a look at their 1st anniversary cake. Congratulations!
