Between receiving the image of the decor they wanted on the cake and executing the cake, there wasn’t a lot of time to put together this design. On top of the lack of time, the original cake has fondant decoration on a buttercream cake, and they ordered a whipped cream iced cake, which requires chocolate decoration. I really would’ve liked more time, but here’s what I came up with.
The customer wanted pink and brown borders, but a factor of colored whipped cream to keep in mind is that it bleeds, so I used the chocolate ganache icing to prevent some of the bleeding. The cake I made is also twice the size of the original, and I arranged the flowers from memory instead of directly copying the image (I have a pretty good visual memory). I would love to give credit to the original artist, but I only have the picture the customer sent me.
