Everyone loves a good Disney cake design, so here’s another one for the interwebs.
I made this one for a friend of mine who always requests the most wonderful cakes and gives me a lot of freedom. This round was The Princess & the Frog, which I believe to be a highly underrated film. It had Cajun cooking, a little bit of Hoodoo or Voodoo (still not totally sure what was going on there), and an alligator that dreams of playing jazz in front of a live audience.
Honestly, I didn’t have a lot of time to make this cake. I had a wedding order to deliver in the afternoon and traffic to beat, so I didn’t get to add any of my usual embellishments. However, I knew there was another cake opportunity coming, since this was just a little teaser for a small family get together. The bigger cake was later in the week. Here’s a better picture of the alligator, who was in fact the star of this cake, per request.
This is a Fruit and Cream cake with cream cheese icing, which I love because the icing really makes the colors pop.
